Our Core Values

Sometimes it can be helpful when you’re deciding to do business with a company, or if you’re interested in working for a company to know what the company’s “core values” are.

And while we are absolutely not perfect when it comes to always implementing our core values, we really strive to “hit the mark” as best we can, and as consistently as we can.

And please know, these are not just values that stay on our website and are never spoken about, implemented, etc.

We really try to have our business live and breathe by these values.

So, if you’re interested in seeing what those are, simply check them out below! =)

  • As followers of Jesus, we really strive to run our business in a way that we feel would honor the Lord.

A scripture that comes to mind is Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV version) which says…

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

We really want to operate our business in such a way that would honor Jesus in everything we do.

As if HE is the one that owns our business.

Because honestly, we believe that He does.

And that we are just stewards of what He has given us.

Please note: We are not perfect.

It’s only through Jesus that we can be made new.

    We will mess up.

We will sometimes not get it right.

But our focus is on running the business as best we can, in a way that would bring honor to the Lord.

    What does that mean specifically?

It means that when we work with clients, we try to serve them in a way that would represent Christ well.

Working to go above and beyond what we are expected to do.

Again, not through perfection, but with the focus on trying to do the best we can at serving others.

We try our best to also hire team members with the same focus.

Of course, not every team member will be a follower of Christ, but we do ask our team to abide by the principles of scripture as best they can, and to operate in a way that would allow our clients to feel loved, appreciated and served at the highest level.

Please also understand that as a client, it does not mean that you need to be a Christian.

This core value is simply a reflection of how we want to operate when it comes to serving you.

We won’t preach to you when working with you, so no worries at all about anything like that!

But of course, if you’d like for us to pray for you, or anything like that, don’t hesitate to ask!

    We would love to.

But we want you to feel totally comfortable when working with us, so no need to fear that we’re going to ask you any questions related to your faith system (or lack there of) or anything like that.

We are simply here to serve you to the best of our abilities and provide you with photos that you’ll love for a lifetime.

    That’s our focus.

Okay, one last quick point on this core value.

In some cases, we may have to turn down the occasional project if we feel it may not align with this core value.

While the majority of our clients run businesses or brands that we feel totally comfortable working with, very occasionally we will run into a project that we just wouldn’t feel 100% comfortable taking on.

In those rare cases, we will let you know, and please know - we are not judging you or your business.

We just feel the obligation to work according to our convictions and very occasionally, these types of situations will come up.

    Again, no judgement at all.

But just wanted to make sure to cover that as well, just in case.

    Thank you, friend!

On to the next core value!

  • When it comes to business, one of the main metrics that you optimize for is profit.

    Which makes sense.

You need profit to be able to operate the business, to be able to grow the business, to be able to hire more team members, serve more clients, etc.

But for us, while profit is very important, we believe that our focus on people has to take a higher priority.

    What does that look like?

In one instance, it looks like making sure that we only get paid when our clients are INCREDIBLY happy with the outcome of their session, and with the outcome of their photos.

We don’t want to be fully paid unless our clients are completely happy.

So that means that we are willing to completely re-do a session (at no cost), or even completely refund the session with no questions asked, if our clients are not completely happy with the outcome.

We prioritize our clients happiness and satisfaction over profit.

It also looks like how we work with (and pay) our team members.

We want our team members to feel extremely valued in our organization, so we will always do the best we can to provide them with the most competitive pay we can, while still being able to profitably run our company.

We will never try to “squeeze the juice” out of our team members, paying them the lowest rate we can, trying to “maximize” our profit margins.

We will always try to find the most competitive (and above competitive) pay that we can pay them, working to train them and serve them to the best of our ability, and continuously look for ways to help them grow as individuals and team members.

Trying to think from their point of view.

And not exclusively from our “profit margin” point of view.

We want our clients to be incredibly happy, and we want our amazing team members to be incredibly happy.

And that’s what the “People > Profit” core value is all about.

  • We want all of our clients to feel like they are experiencing a total “VIP” treatment when working with us.

Because truthfully, they are our VIP’s.

We are so incredibly grateful anytime someone decides to become a client with us, and we want to treat them in a way that makes them feel like the VIP they are.

And we do that by working to implement what we would call a “White Glove Service”.

Holding their hand through the entire process.

Making the next steps of the process seamless, clear and hassle free.

For most of our clients, getting a photography session done is not something they do often, so we want to take all of the guess work out of the process for them.

And instead, walk them through the process hand in hand.

We just want our clients to show up to their session feeling their best, and we want to take care of the rest.

    Helping them to pose.

Helping them take props in and out of the car (if they have a branding session).

Helping them sort through their outfits (if they have a branding session).

Showing them the back of our camera, so they can see how they look throughout the session.

Working to make them feel totally comfortable and natural throughout the process.

Our goal is to make the entire process feel like a truly “White Glove Service”.

And that’s what this core value is all about.

  • On top of creating a “White Glove Service” experience, we also want our clients to leave their sessions with what we would call a “WOW” experience.

We want to go “above and beyond” simply providing a photography session.

We want our clients to feel TOTALLY cherished and taken care of.

We want them to feel like they got more than just a photography session.

We want our clients (when they are by themselves after the session) to think (and even say to themselves)...

“WOW. That was seriously such an incredible experience. I really should have done this a LONG time ago. I was expecting to get photos taken, but the whole process just felt so much more than that. That was amazing”.

And that is what this last core value is all about.

We would love the opportunity to serve you friend and to do the best we can to have these core values show up in your experience.
